It seems that our work trying to solve the problems at Llanbeblig Cemetery is being taken seriously! HTV Wales news team contacted our Mayor - Councillor Tudur Owen this week and went with him to Llanbeblig Cemetery to see what work needed to be done. |

Councillor Owen has been involved with our campaign since we brought it to everyone's attention two months ago. The town council were approached as it was initially thought that they were responsible for its upkeep. |

Job completed, lets hope following this someone helps clear the old cemetery! |

After the visit the Mayor asked Councillor Roy Owen if he could clear some discarded needles on the site. As Councillor Owen is trained in these matters and possess the safety equipment to do the job, he duly obliged. Caernarfon Online joined the two councillors on the site for some photos, it was clear that the site needs desperate attention with the Mayor also concerned about the debris left at the entrance to the church. Both councillors agreed that this did not give a good impression for church goers. Lets hope the news appeal by HTV following our initial appeal gets things moving. We are proud to have raised this issue and over the moon that the news crew has seen our website and have taken action. Watch this space for updates! |
